People Centered Roadmap
Rethinking the project cycle through co-creation
The People Centered Roadmap builds on the foundations of the traditional project cycle—but stretches it to meet the complexity of real-world change. Originally structured around four phases (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation), this model expands the process into eight distinct steps.
Why? Because co-creating solutions with people takes more time, more trust and more interaction—especially in the early stages. In this model, community involvement is not an optional add-on. It is woven into every phase, from shaping the problem to defining success.
Rather than designing for people, this roadmap is about designing with people. It recognizes that power and participation must be built intentionally, at every step.
