Values and Guiding Principles

A mindset rooted in dignity, inclusion and meaningful partnership

The People Centered approach is more than a methodology it is a way of working grounded in values that shape how support is designed, delivered and shared.

These eight principles define how work is done, who is involved and how decisions are made. They acknowledge asymmetry and promote the use of power with responsibility. Support is most effective when grounded in collaboration, trust and mutual respect.

At its heart, People Centered shifts the focus from delivering solutions to co-creating them, in close partnership with those most affected.
