I am an independent consultant and facilitator with more than 18 years of experience across humanitarian, protection and participatory programming contexts.

My work focuses on helping organisations, networks and communities develop more locally grounded, participatory and protection-centred approaches to analysis, coordination and collective action.

Over the years, I have worked across more than 22 conflict-affected and displacement contexts alongside communities, local actors, humanitarian organisations and academic institutions. My experience combines operational humanitarian work, facilitation, training, strategic advisory support and methodology development.

The People-Centered Approach emerged from these experiences and from years of engagement with communities and practitioners seeking more meaningful ways to participate in decisions that affect their safety and well-being.

My contribution has been to help capture and translate these experiences, practices and lessons into a practical methodology that supports collective analysis, participation and protection-centred action across diverse contexts.

Today, the approach continues to evolve through its application across different contexts and through ongoing collaboration with practitioners, researchers, local actors and communities themselves.

Current developments include contributions to the Proactive Protection Consortium led by NOHA, ODI and Nonviolent Peaceforce.

Alongside consultancy work, I regularly design and facilitate trainings, accompany organisations in applying participatory approaches and contribute to academic and professional learning initiatives related to participation, protection and collective action.
